Did you know that the bible can be found in almost every home, hotel/motel in USA? Just think about, every home, hotel/motel, wow!

It would seem that we should never be spiritually hungry because we all have a bible that gives us hope, joy, peace and comfort to us everywhere we go, including our homes. But, let's be honest, that's not always the case, day after day we are too busy to pick up God's Word and read.

We see in the book of Amos 8:1-10 that God gave another vision to Amos, a vision of a basket of ripe fruit. The basket represented Israel and the Lord said that they were "ripe for punishment." He also said "I will not forget all the wicked things you have done..."

Amos 8:11-12 "The time is surely coming," says the Sovereign Lord, when I will send a famine on the land-not a famine of bread or thirst for water but of hearing the words of the Lord. People will stagger everywhere from sea to sea, searching for the word of the Lord, running here and going there, but they will not find it. They would starve and thirst for God's Word..." We see the outcome of their disobedience.

The truth is, this famine is in our homes and our communities today. People are starving themselves to death and dying spiritually from not reading God’s Word. This is the worst kind of famine there is. The Lord has given you His word, He wants to speak to you but you keep putting Him off.

God is bigger than anything that you may be going thru! He wants to help and guide you but you need to read His word and listen to His still small voice.

Jeremiah 15:16 says "Your words were found, and I ate them, and your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart."

Another comforting verse is Job 23:12 "I have not departed from the commandments of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food."

God is waiting for you! Let's get into the word of God together, let's enjoy the milk/meat and the sweet communion of the washing of the water of the word as we become strong, healthy sheep.
